Hot Hands was founded in 2018 by Illinois-born chef Tara Coleman, who set out to create straightforward desserts that bring people joy. Tara’s pastry journey began with studying pastry arts and an internship at the prestigious Hotel Du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France, in 2012. She honed her skills in renowned Chicago kitchens like Girl and the Goat and Boeufhaus.
Before opening Hot Hands in 2019, Tara sold her pastries and pies at farmers markets, building a loyal following for her honest, comforting desserts. Eat more pie!
